Rutgers University utilized a Train-the-Trainer model to train staff from Mirror of Hope, a CBO in Nairobi, Kenya, on best agriculture practices for seed starting and making compost.
Subsequently, Mirror of Hope hosted seminars with their Women’s Empowerment group. This knowledge will allow the women to grow their own produce for household consumption and sales in the local market.
Rutgers University hosted its annual tomato tasting at Snyder farm, NJ. This event engages farmers and residents with the University's research achievements.
Professor Simon hosted a curriculum workshop in agribusiness for non-timber forest products, in Libera for a USAID project.
Dr. Robson led farmer trainings in China on pesticide exposure and GMO crops.
